Fantasy, Friends, and a Fast Trip

Hey Aidyn!

I’m still recovering from those eventful two days! I thought I saw an occasional pair of glasses peek out from behind Nick…

Wild cats, eh? Most interesting in Nampa! Leave it to Bleu to show up your 3 min. 23sec. record. I hope the wildcats won’t be quite as thick next year… 164 kids is quite a lot to worry about besides wildcats why that makes 167 wild things to worry about! (Not counting volunteers!)

Bleu is very environmentally conscientious and takes our energy source waste very seriously… I’ve tried to explain to him many times our unperfected energy supply line and how things are being done to “go green”. Bleu said that our planet was wasting away approximately 400x faster than any other planet in our galaxy (minus Jarganus’s  “twin planet” a.k.a  Othellino…whatever that’s supposed to mean!)

Yes, Bleu’s favorite movies seem to pertain mainly toward the fantasy/action line of things. He is especially thrilled with our interpretation of Narnia and Middle Earth…Says he’s been there and there are only a few larger mistakes which he would be glad to correct the accounts of with Disney and New Line Cinema…Only some carefully chosen words and assurances persuaded him to not do just that. Bleu’s appreciation of humor…Yes, well it is hard to explain to him a joke when, once you get right down to it, really isn’t all that funny…At least he is making an effort to understand our inelegant humor and dry wit.

There are—are well “persons” (hardly called that) which I should tell you about. Lately Bleu has brought by two friends; Violenta and Greno. I’ll tell you a bit about them and bring out their character qualities in a story Greno loves speed…Anything that is fast or goes over 12100 meters per second is automatically his. When he comes for visits he settles for things with less speed…hot wheels and speed carnival rides. Etc. Violenta enjoys speed but doesn’t thrive on it like Greno does. Anyways Violenta mainly likes things neat and tidy and her worst fear is being discovered by anyone besides you or I. So, day before yesterday we were going for a trip in Bleu’s speedster and he let Greno drive whilst Bleu went in the back and tried to find some Dr. Pepper. Well, this normally wouldn’t be a problem if it had been anyone but Greno. We were going ahead full speed when we hit an uncharted asteroid field! One hit our main blast shield and chipped Bleu’s speedster right in the license plate! Took out the “B” on his vanity plates so now all it says is “leu”. Bleu was most angry and I was glad we were flying and Bleu wouldn’t chase him through the park again…Violenta was upset because the speedster ,which she had just given Bleu a lecture on and had most carefully re-arranged in great order, had flown into pieces and everything scattered… Needless to say there was a bit of forgiveness that had to happen and a bit of apologizing and a bit of heavy repair work on the shield…( which was ANOTHER long story…)

Anyways, Bleu saw I was writing you and said to tell you he enjoyed himself at the wedding and particularly liked the choice of food and the chosen dances… He decided to make it a point to work on his photography skills as he was jealous of the many photographers running about with shiny cameras.

Well, off to finish the evening with a little light reading: ‘Tunneling Microscopes: A complete pictorial  guide to maintaining, collecting, cleaning and use of STMs and their internal and external workings. Fifteenth Edition!!!’

Wildcats, Comedy, and the 5th Dimension

Hey PJ!

Recovered from that crazy weekend yet? Bleu said he had an amazing time(he was hiding behind Nick most of the weekend).

In fact, it was Bleu who assisted Nick and I in our endeavors to clear the game field from wildcats. You see, a couple years back, a group of us were out messing around in the field during lunch break, enjoying the sun and having fun. We were just about to head inside when a big wildcat ran onto the field, right toward the ladies! Nick managed to get them outside the gate whilst I [ahem] dispatched the cat. Naturally, Nick and I decided to go out and check the field before we had little kiddos on it this year. Bleu tagged along of course, since there wasn’t really anything fun going on downstairs. When we got to the field, to our surprise there were THREE wildcats! Nick and I figured that it’d take us at least 3 minutes and 23 seconds to totally take care of the issue, but Bleu asked us to hold off for a bit. He walked right out on the field and smacked the lead wildcat in the face! Nick had Bleu figured for goners, but I know him a bit better than Nick did. Bleu managed to tie the tails of all the wildcats together, hook a rope to them, and then use that rope to swing them around and around and around… I’m not sure exactly where they are now, probably still in orbit around the earth. I’m anticipating not having to worry about wildcats next year.

You remember me telling you that Bleu doesn’t quite understand the 5th dimension? Well, I’ve decided he needs to start learning. See, last night we decided to watch Brian Regan, a fairly well known comedian, online. I chuckled and laughed throughout the entire movie, paying special attention to those jokes about “intelligent life” on other planets. Bleu was not amused. We talked late into the night about many things (including ridiculous “environmentally hostile” energy sources… *sigh*), but the thing that occupied our conversation the most was comedy. Bleu loves a good drama and action thrillers are among his favorite movies. But toss a comedy, or worse, a romantic comedy his way? He just won’t get it. So I explained to him about our silly sense of humor. He finds sharp wit and elegant humor quite entertaining (he spends hours debating the relative merits of specific insults and such), but he does not understand knock-knock jokes, or any typical youtube videos. Which is sad. I explained that our world is so filled with tragedy, that any respite from it is a wonderful breath of fresh air to us. So when someone posts a video talking about the difference between a jelly+fish sandwich, which is ok, and a jellyfish sandwich(which will kill you), we enjoy it, laugh about it, favorite it, and share it on twitter. Of course! He’s slowly learning how that type of humor works, mainly because he loves to poke fun at us anyway!

Whoops, he just popped back in… Wants to play the Wii I suppose. *sigh* Perhaps I’ll get sleep next week!
